2) IMPORTANT RDA / DOSAGE INFORMATION

The confusing term Required Daily Allowance intake (RDA – the physiological requirement) requires some clarification. RDAs are developed and created by international research bodies and governments. They are designed to prevent classic deficiency diseases such as rickets, scurvy, pellagra, and beriberi. These deficiency diseases typically occur when one essential mineral or vitamin is deficient in isolation – which rarely occurs in life.

The RDA for any given vitamin or mineral may be a tiny fraction of the pharmacological dose – the dose at which there may be a constructive, rather than just preventative, benefit from taking the vitamin or mineral. Such pharmacological doses are still well below the safe upper daily limit. Pharmacological doses, taken by aging or ill adults in sensible, researched combinations, have major preventative, therapeutic and nutritional support benefits against infection and the common major degeneratative diseases. Normal RDA doses typically do not have the benefits of pharmacological doses. There is also grave danger in self-medicating with specific vitamins or minerals in isolation, without proper monitoring by  a  doctor.

vit A Retinol 1mcg = bcarotene 2mcg = 3.3iu.

MOST RECENT MAX RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE: bcarotene, about 15 000iu / d.

vit  D3 cholecalciferol 1mcg = 40iu (WE DILUTE IT TO 1gm = 10 000iu. MAXIMUM RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE = 10 000iu/d or 50 000iu/wk)

vit E d-l alphatocopherol 1mg = about 1iu.
WE DILUTE IT TO 1gm = 250iu
MAX RECOMMENDED DOSE = 800iu/day

The tables, and all dosages given on this website, are merely as a guide, never a prescription.

However, as the tables show, within sensible limits and in balanced intake, there are no serious risks from therapeutic daily supplements (the natural medicines), unlike the many and varied risks of modern designer patented medicines, which can (and do) often lead to serious illness and death.
